A STROUD couple have been successfully fundraising and will teach children in Bali for four months in the tranquil town of Ubud.
Amy Weston and Peter Davies raised money for the residents of Ubud by holding events such as a football tournament at Nailsworth primary school and a quiz at the Cross Hands pub as well as receiving various donations.
Speaking of their trip Amy said: "It is a life changing experience that really does make a difference to the children’s education."
All of this helped the pair build a new classroom and playground at the school along with a selection of items to improve the children's English.
So far, stationery, a whiteboard, text books, sports equipment and story books have been donated to the children.
Both Amy and Peter would like to give a special thank you to Nailsworth Primary School, the Cross Hands pub in Summer Street and the companies who donated to their cause.
