The South Gloucestershire Show is taking place this weekend, with thousands of people set to attend.

Organisers have already said this year will be the biggest event yet and will again be based in Westerleigh near Yate on Saturday and Sunday.

Last year there were performances from acrobats and BMX stunt teams and this year promises more of the same. I’m A Celebrity star Joel Dommett was also in attendance.

A spokesperson for the event confirmed that this year they are expected to improve on the figures and targets they set after the success of the show.

"Last year saw over 29,000 take to the South Glos Showground for a weekend of family fun and hopefully two sun filled days will see that number smash through the 30,000 mark." They said.

"Obviously the South Glos Show wouldn’t be the same without the fan favourites in the Country Fair, 2018 will see the return of The JD Pipes Sheep Show, Dog & Duck Show, Meerkats, heavy horses and much more.

"We are celebrating this milestone and the Show is packed with entertainment to commemorate in style. It will be a fantastic event."

The event is expected to attract over 30,000 people this time around, after bringing in over 50,000 guests over the last two years.

Tickets are available online at southglosshow.co.uk/ticket-info/ with guests encouraged to book tickets online before the event. By booking online attendees will also save money on tickets, but there is an option to buy them on the gate.

The show is taking place at the South Glos Showground, Westerleigh Road BS37 8QZ with the gates open at 10:30am.
