THE A38 was closed this morning after a Royal Mail delivery van became wedged under a flat bed truck carrying gas cannisters following a crash.
Police were called to the accident near Frombridge, Whitminster at just before 9am this morning closed the road.
The road remained closed by claypits traffic lights while an ambulance attended the scene, gas cannisters were made safe, and the vehicles were recovered.
Additionally, a manager from Royal Mail arrived to collect any mail in the damaged van.
Closures were removed at 10am this morning.
At present, the condition of both drivers is unknown.
