Coyle is Wembley bound

12:22pm Wednesday 14th May 2008

FOREST GREEN fan Adam Coyle is on the verge of a whopping £100,000 as he graces the hallowed turf of Wembley on Saturday in front of thousands of fans for the final of the inaugural Blue Square Play It Square' competition.

Adam, 19, and the four other finalists have showcased their Keepie Uppie skills, with the special Blue Square cube football, to reach this stage but now have to contend with the pressure of running out in front of the biggest crowd of the non-league season to take part in the special one off final prior to the Blue Square Play-Off final between Cambridge United and Exeter City.

Adam, who manages Forest Green Under-16s said: "I'm trying not to think about the money at the moment. I want to enjoy the day, but If I was to win I would probably get a deposit for a house."

Adam challenge has seen the former Forest Green youth player put in up to six-hours a day training, but the competition will take on a different format on the day.

"I've been practising six hours a day, but we've been told to expect a surprise challenge on the day."

If Adam comes out on top his favourite side would land a £20,000 cash windfall.

"If I win I would like manager Jim Harvey to be given the money to strengthen the squad, and I would probably like to go on the board."
