Edna Powell, the organiser of the Stroud country show, was returning to her car on London road, Thrupp when she discovered that theives had smashed her back windscreen and stole her black briefcase, containing documents for this year's show, and £3 in cash.
Her white Nissan Micra was parked in a lay-by on the A419 London road in Thrupp, near a hotdog van when the smash-and-grab theft happened sometime between 9am and 5.30pm in broad daylight on Tuesday.
Edna, 66, who runs Stroud Sewing Machines in Lansdown, said that apart from show plans, her briefcase also contained personal letters that are useless to anybody else but her.
Anybody who has seen her black briefcase and its contents, or saw any suspicious activity should call Gloucestershire police on 0845 090 1234.
