We have an interesting possibility for the proposed housing projects at Brimscombe Port, Wallbridge and Ebley.
All 3 of these are adjacent to the canal and are candidates at this early stage of their planning for the use of a district heating scheme using canal water and water source heat pumps.
The requirement of the Future Homes and Buildings Standard will be that new homes built after 2025 will produce 75-80% less carbon.
Stroud area has the opportunity to be at the forefront of this requirement and in the process improve the sales/running costs of these new homes.
