A FAMOUS actor will be headlining at Nailsworth Transport Festival.

Robert Llewellyn, famous for playing the rubber-faced Kryten in the science fiction comedy ‘Red Dwarf’ and for presenting ‘Scrapheap Challenge’, will headline the event taking place on Sunday, June 25.

In 2010, after being blown away by electric cars, Robert launched Fully Charged, a clean energy and electric vehicle channel.

Robert will be at Egypt Mill Hotel in Nailsworth at 3.00pm on Sunday, June 25 to answer questions on electric vehicles using his considerable knowledge, experience and humour.

Sarah Martin of the Nailsworth Chamber of Trade and Commerce said

“Following the success of last year’s inaugural event, Robert’s atendance is a huge boost to this year’s Transport Festival.

"The Festival is the perfect way to show how vehicles have changed over the years and a great place for visitors to ask questions of experts on sustainability and local EV owners.

"The aim is for people to have a fantastic time, but also to show how action on climate today, with electric van and cars, electric bikes and domestic clean energy systems, can make a positive difference.”

Mat Partridge from NailsworthCAN said “Having Robert at the Festival is amazing.

"I’ve seen him in action at Fully Charged shows before and his enthusiasm is infectious while his knowledge on the subjects of electric vehicles and clean energy is amazing after more than a decade being involved.”

Nailsworth Transport Festival will be running from Nailsworth Bus Station and the centre of Nailsworth in Old Market Road from 10.30am until 8.00pm on Sunday 25th June 2023.

A free park-and-ride system will run from the large parking area opposite the Blue Diamond garden centre on the Avening Road (GL6 0BS)
