I HAVE had a number of enquiries about Stainswick Farm rapeseed oils and, what with last month being a fifth Saturday month, I must let you know they are back next week, not this Saturday.

When a stall comes once a month only and they decide to take a week off it can be tricky for their regulars.

I have asked them to be clearer with their customers in future if they are going to miss a market.

Usually at this time of year our plant stalls have finished for the season, but Malvern Salvia, who missed September, will be at market this week with their astonishing range.

Of course, it is a good time of year for planting perennials and trees too, with Days Cottage taking orders for apple trees.

Bath Soft Cheese are in for their monthly slot.

If you haven’t experienced their cheese, it really is very good, with their Bath Soft and Wyfe of Bath both absolutely delicious.

Stroud Smokehouse is back this week and The Garlic Farm are in for their monthly stall too.

We always offer a guest stall free of charge every week and this week we are hosting some weavers who are part of the Stroud Textile Trust events that are going on around the district.

Other monthly stalls to look out for include Penny Campbell pottery, Escento Soaps, and Down to Earth with their allotment vegetables to add to what must be the best selection of local seasonal vegetables available anywhere!
