Who won The Great British Bake Off in 2023?

Matty was announced the winner of the Bake Off on Channel 4 for 2023.

Judges Paul and Prue had a tough time deciding who should take the crown home, but in the end, after a dramatic final, they chose Matty.

Despite getting some criticism with his signature, Matty wowed with his flavours and decorations, especially with his amazing showstopper.

Before joining Bake Off, Matty found his love for baking from his grandma after being impressed by her home-baked cake for his fourth birthday.

As his passion grew, he became the family baker and faced endless requests, with a style he describes as ‘rustic but neat’, Matty is set to be busy with many more orders now.

Sharing the exciting news on X, formally Twitter, the Bake Off account shared: “Well done to you, Matty! You didn't let your self doubts dictate your destiny - you overcame them and triumphed! Huge credit to your partner Lara for applying on your behalf too - turned out alright in the end!"
