Harpenden 24
Barnet Saracens Elizabethans 15
London League 3 (North-West)
The league season of Barnet Saracens Elizabethans is in danger of collapsing around them after they went down to Harpenden.
This is despite being the better side for most of the match.
Borst, Caylor and Lewis carved holes in the home defence, but final passes went astray and a penalty was missed.
Then from a penalty, James Spragg tapped and ran in from five metres, adding the conversion.
Barnet were rocked just before half-time when Harpenden scored a try in their first attack, followed immediately by a converted try.
Though Graham Hart reduced the deficit with a penalty, another home converted try followed, making the score 19-10.
Back came Barnet with a try from Gareth Wynne-Hughes but Harpenden struck again with a late try to seal the win and leave Barnet fourth with two games to go.
