INTERNATIONALLY known Prof Hugh Barr will speak about his cancer research at a special event for health professionals.
Prof Barr, who is Consultant General and Gastrointestinal Surgeon at the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, will talk about the links between genetics and lifestyle with oesophageal and gastric cancer.
He is becoming internationally known for his research into oesophageal disease particularly in a condition known as Barrett's Oesophagus.
The free event will be held on June 8, from 7pm-9pm, at Cotswold Care Hospice in Burleigh Lane, Minchinhampton, near Stroud.
The talk is open to anyone who works in the health services, from private to NHS.
