THE entire stretch of the A419 Bristol Road through Stonehouse was congested after a collision involving a car and a motorcycle yesterday, Wednesday, July 1.
The collision, which involved a dark blue Nissan Micra and a grey Buell M2 Cyclone motorcycle, happened near the junction with Spring Lane opposite Blunder Lock at 5pm.
Paramedics treated the motorcycle rider, a 30-year-old man, at the scene before he was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.
There were no life threatening injuries.
Police officers were at the scene directing traffic from both lanes around the incident.
Traffic on the M5 bound lane stretched back towards Stroud as far as the Ebley by-pass.
Queues on the Stroud bound lane continued until junction 13 of the M5
