Stonehouse mod to feature in gangster movie remake

STONEHOUSE mod Mick Marshall is looking forward to his silver screen debut after he and his girlfriend landed extra parts in the remake of the classic gangster film Brighton Rock.

Professional driver Mick, 47, and his girlfriend Becky Chew, 37, joined more than 100 costumed scooter riders on Eastbourne seafront to shoot several scenes for the movie, which will star Dame Helen Mirren.

Avid scooter-fan Mick, who found out about the opportunity through a London-based riders’ club, arrived on set aboard his beloved yellow 1964 Lambretta Li - featuring 19 spotlights and 16 mirrors. "It was a long day but also a very enjoyable one," said Mick, who was told to appear in his own mod-style dress for the day.

"I hope my scenes make it into the film."

Based on Graham Greene’s classic 1939 book, the remake of the original 1947 adaptation will also star Pete Postlethwaite and Bafta-nominated Sam Riley when it hits cinemas next year.
