A NUMBER of street lights in Minchinhampton have been switched off at night to save Gloucestershire County Council £1,821 and reduce carbon emissions in the town by 8.5 tonnes.
Gloucestershire Highways recently held a consultation meeting in the Trap House to show residents the proposed plans for the Part Night Lighting scheme. Out of a possible 388 lights, 138 have been changed to part night lighting.
