Three charged after attempted jewellery shop robbery in Gloucester


Police have charged three men following an attempted robbery at a jewellery shop in Gloucester.

The incident occurred just before midday on Tuesday December 15 at a shop in St John’s Lane.

During the incident a member of staff was assaulted with a glass bottle. He was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital by ambulance to receive treatment for a head injury.

The offenders were disturbed by the shop manager and left without any stolen property.

An 18-year-old man and two 15-year-old boys from London have been charged with attempted robbery and assault. They appeared at Gloucester Magistrates Court today (December 17) and were remanded in custody to appear at Gloucester Crown Court on January 6.
