ECO pioneer Dale Vince has applied for permission to install a free-standing solar panel device, which would track the sun, in his back garden. Minchinhampton parish councillors discussed the application at a meeting on Monday night and decided to give the plans their support. The solar 'photovoltaic' panel, four metres tall and four metres wide, would stand in Mr Vince's garden at Moor Court near Rodborough Common. The application, S.09/2304/FUL, will now be considered by officers at Stroud District Council.
