SCIENTISTS from Bristol ChemLabS – the school of chemistry at the University of Bristol – recently visited pupils at The Croft Primary School in Painswick.
Dr Alison Rivett and three research students conducted an exciting assembly for the whole school, with lots of flashes and bangs, and then organised workshops for children in Years 4 to 6.
Making slime, testing the sugar level in drinks and testing different concentrations of acid were just some of the exciting experiments pupils conducted in laboratory coats and goggles.
Headteacher Janet Hoyle said: "The children had an exciting and informative day, and the Bristol scientists were impressed with our young scientists.
"It was a great opportunity for pupils who are really interested in science to have a go at something different."
