FIVE of the top professional artists painting in the Cotswolds, who joined forces eight years ago, have achieved great success with twelve acclaimed exhibitions to date under the name of The Dobunni Painters.
Including Michael Edwards from Bisley, The Dobunni painters present their 13th show is at Upper Swell Farm, Stow-on-the-Wold from Saturday, July 23.
Some 150 paintings will be included using watercolour, oil, pastels, acrylic and gouache.
The artists are Valerie Batchelor, Jane Lampard, Michael Long, Michael Edwards and Andy le Poidevin.
When searching for an appropriate name, the five wanted a connection with the Cotswolds - the Dobunni tribes were early Iron Age settlers in the area.
The Dobunni painters are in great demand with local art clubs and societies to give demonstrations and workshops and their work appears regularly in top professional shows in London such as the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour, The Pastel Society, Royal Society of British Artists etc.
The exhibition runs until July 31.
