Taverners 1 Yate Town Reserves 1
A CONTROVERSIAL penalty eight minutes from time deprived Taverners of the points against high-flying Yate Reserves.
Earlier, Taverners went ahead when Fran King did brilliantly to allow Kris Pritlove to finish clinically. Minutes later Pritlove hit the bar.
After the break Lee Pritchard supplied two excellent crosses from the right, one just needed the slightest of touches for a certain goal and the other saw Steve Jackson's effort produce a wonderful save from Shellard.
A smart tackle from Paul Jennings and a save from Craig Barnfield helped preserve Taverners lead.
However, King was harshly adjudged to have handled in the area with Totterdale scoring the resulting penalty.
