STROUD-based Arturi Film’s award-winning flick Mugabe and the White African will have its UK television debut tomorrow evening, Tuesday, May 18.
The British Independent Film Award winner and BAFTA nominated movie will air on More4 at 10pm.
Secretly shot in Africa and the UK over the course of a year, the film exposes the thrilling tale of white Zimbabwean farmer Mike Campbell’s decision to take president Robert Mugabe to court for racism.
Described as ‘superb’ by Time Out and an ‘excellent, moving anti-racist documentary’ by the Daily Mail, the movie also chronicles the abuse Mr Campbell’s family and colleagues suffer as a result of their fight against Mugabe’s state-imposed brutality.
The documentary will have its US release courtesy of New York-based First Run Features on July 23, while France’s Pretty Pictures will distribute it later this year.
