Cotswold-based actor Jason Durr is backing an appeal for Cotswold Care Hospice – by sharing one of his family’s favourite recipes.

The actor, who is best known for his role PC Mike Bradley in Heartbeat, lives in the Stroud Valleys with his wife, TV presenter Kate Charman, and their young family.

When Cotswold Care Hospice contacted him to support its Tea at Three campaign, he was delighted to help.

The appeal encourages people to hold tea parties where family and friends make a small donation for refreshments.

Jason’s Lemon Raspberry Muffins have a special place in the Durr family.

“Whilst we lived in Los Angeles, Kate and I really missed having a decent cup of tea! Any visitors from Blighty would be instructed to bring out supplies of English tea bags and biscuits, so we could enjoy tea parties with other ex-pat actors living in LA, all desperate for a cuppa,” said Jason.

“One of our dearest friends is the nutrionist Alli Godbold, when she stayed with us in California; she gave us this recipe for Raspberry & Lemon Muffins. It has become a firm favourite in the Durr household. The muffins are delicious but very low fat and sugar-free.

“We wish Cotswold Care every possible success with their Tea @Three fund raising event.”
