CHILDREN from Nailsworth Primary School have played a vital role in the development of Woodchester Mansion’s new education package following their visit on Thursday, June 24.
The year six pupils were invited to give feedback on what they liked most about their visit to the 19th Century Victorian neo-gothic mansion and what could offer be improved.
Hannah Jones, manager of Woodchester Mansion, said: "We want to make the place more interesting for children and Nailsworth primary have been brilliant in giving us helpful feedback. Most of our material was written for adults and we’d like to adapt it for a younger audience. We also plan to design an interactive website for children who can’t visit the mansion but would still like to all learn about it."
Archway school have been asked to provide feedback on behalf of secondary school children and media students from Stroud College will be competing to see who can make the best dvd about the mansion.
