THREE Stroud firefighters are taking part in the 11th World Firefighters Games later this month.
Tammy Bell, 35, Steve Price, 38, and Chris Barton, 44, will be taking the 6,000 mile trip to Daegu, South Korea to join 40 other countries from August 21 to 29.
The games are held every two years and participation is qualified for only current, retired firefighters.
Tammy, Steve and Chris have taken part in the previous three games which were held in Sheffield 2004, Hong Kong 2006 and Liverpool 2008. From these games they have brought home several medals in their chosen events.
This year they will be taking part in orienteering, dragon boat racing, track and field, indoor rowing, stair run and climbing.
