70s HEARTTHROB Oliver Tobias was invited to Woodchester Park on Sunday, August 29 revisiting the place where he filmed his most famous role Arthur of the Britons.

The series, which was released recently on DVD, was very popular and due to a request for a tribute event from fans Oliver decided that it would be fitting to make the return.

Wendy van der Veen, personal assistant to Tobias, said: "Arthur of the Britons was made in 1972, featuring Oliver Tobias as King Arthur. A tremendously talented and versatile actor, he was the perfect candidate for the role as an accomplished horseman and swordsman."

Tobias arrived in Stroud on the morning of Saturday, August 28 on his famous Ducati motorbike.

He then held a fans forum in the afternoon where he took questions at the Imperial Hotel in Stroud where he was staying.
