ANOTHER fabulous clothes swap evening is to be held in Stroud and this year it will be raising money for The Door Youth project.

The event which is organised by Berith Sandgren-Clarke of Limelight Image Consultancy will be held at Nine in Stroud on February 7.

"This is a great opportunity to detox your wardrobe and start the new year with a new look," said Berith.

Last year 120 women flocked to the clothes swap which raised £1,200 for Cotswold Care Hospice "We had such a fabulous evening" said Berith. "It was a bit like the Harrods sale but without any money involved – a whole lot of new clothes to take home and money for a local charity at the same time – very Stroud and very now."

People who donate clothes to the swap are given credits to spend on other outfits on the night "This year we are supporting The Door Youth Project and hope that its vision to relocate to bigger and more suitable premises will be possible sooner rather than later," said Berith.

Free support has been given to the event by Nine which has donated the venue and local artist Simon Watkins aka Vietnam the Movie who designed the poster.

The Stroud branch of Barclays Bank will again be helping to staff the evening and with the fundraising. Doors will open at 7pm for clothes to be inspected and credited according to style. Shoppers are invited to buy a drink in the bar whilst waiting for the ‘swish’ to commence at 8pm.

Tickets are £10 and are available to purchase from Limelight, Nine, The Door and the Stroud News & Journal or call Berith on 01453 753546.
