TWO elderly women in their 80s were left stranded during a coach trip to Abergavenny after their bus left early without them.
Lieselotte Brown, 87, and her friend booked an £11.50 return journey with Nailsworth-based Ebley Excursions to see the Abergavenny Millennium Tapestry.
The coach was due to leave at 3.30pm but the pair watched as it left at 3.25pm without them.
Mrs Brown, from Stonehouse, called out but the driver did not stop.
Luckily a driver from Cheltenham-based Marchants Coaches was able to take them to Gloucester at no extra cost.
They then got a taxi to Stonehouse which cost £25.
Mrs Brown was told by Ebley Excursions that the driver had counted the correct number of passengers on board and then headed off.
The company has since refunded the taxi fare but Mrs Brown is yet to receive an apology.
When contacted by the SNJ, Ebley Excursions declined to comment.
