A 15-year-old boy was scratched by a man on the cheek in Quedgeley as he walked to school.
The teenager was walking through an alleyway off Church Drive towards School Lane when the man lashed out with his hand and inflicted five scratch marks on the teenager’s face with an unknown implement.
He lashed out again and scratched the boy’s forearm before the youngster ran away around 7.55am on Tuesday, September 20.
The man is described as white with grey hair, between 50 and 60 years old and 6ft 4ins tall.
Patrols are being increased in the area and police are urging anyone with information to call 101, reference 161 of September 20 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
