TWO men carrying dustbins attempted to break into Tesco garage in Quedgeley in the early hours of Saturday morning.
At around 2.10am the men, wearing black hooded tops and black jogging bottoms, parked a silver coloured estate near the garage in Bristol Road.
Using a crowbar, they tried to force entry to the shop but made off in a dark coloured Corsa with registration P737 after their attempt failed.
The men took the dustbins, which they stole from Orchard Close in Stonehouse on Friday at around 9.25pm, with them.
One of the men wore distinctive dark coloured trainers with bold white stripes.
Police would like to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious activity near the petrol station, or anyone in Stonehouse who saw the dark coloured Corsa.
Anyone with information should call the new non-emergency number 101, quoting incident 103 of September 24 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
