MORE help is needed on a low-budget film to help raise money for The Prostate Cancer Charity.

The film, Dad Dancing, is a heart-warming comedy about the inevitable onset of middle age and the challenges it brings.

Parts of the film are set in the 1970s and 80s and director Domonic White is looking for a location that could be used as a seven-year-old boy's bedroom set in the 70s along with memorabilia suitable to that period, including a record player.

Domonic is also on the lookout for an 80s-style 'boom box' stereo cassette player, a BMX helmet and BMX number plate, which was all the rage in that period.

The idea for the film came to Domonic when he took part in Movember last year, a campaign that encourages men not to shave in November to raise money for Prostate Cancer.

"It was then that I realised how big the issue is for men and thought I could do a film to raise money to help them," said Domonic, who raised £1,000.

"The dad dancing concept came when I was at a wedding and probably for the first time saw how bad other dads were at dancing.

"Similarly this film begins with a wedding scenario and all the guests are staring at a man who is dancing really badly.

"It is at that point that we flash back to him growing up in the 70s and 80s."

To pull off the final dancing scene, to be filmed at the Great Tythe Barn in Tetbury on November 6, Domonic also needs to get hold of a party disco and DJ with lights and smoke machine.

The film will feature Harry Potter actor James Payton, who played Frank Longbottom and Dynasty star Emma Samms along with children from Minchinhampton School actors from the Centre Stage Performing Arts Academy in Stroud.

Domonic is hoping the film will raise money through DVD sales and ticket sales from showing it in cinemas and film clubs. Anyone interested in showing the film should email him at daddancing@suscito.co.uk Donations can also be made through www.justgiving.com/daddancing
