CANNABIS worth £40,000 was seized at a house in Stratford Road in Stroud yesterday, Wednesday.
Two men, a 36-year-old and a 40-year-old, were arrested at the address on suspicion of the supply of class B drugs. They remain in custody.
Police searched the property at 3.45pm and found 4.4 kilos of herbal cannabis.
PC Gavin Davis said he was pleased the force had stopped the drugs from being sold on the streets.
"This is a significant seizure and we believe it will make a considerable dent in the availability of illegal drugs in Stroud," he said.
"We remain committed to preventing illegal drugs from being dealt in our community and will do everything in our power to see those responsible are brought to justice."
