PUPILS at Bussage Primary School celebrated 200 years of being affiliated with the church recently.
To mark the event, which was organised by the National Society and celebrated all over England and Wales, students went to nearby St Michael and All Angels church for inspiration and created art.
Armed with crayons, children made rubbings over stone and drew pictures with guidance from artist Andrew Boulton, from Frome in Somerset.
The artwork will be used decorate an archway in the school.
"We are eagerly anticipating the finished project," said headteacher Andy Ferguson.
"The event affirmed the school's partnership with the church and pupils were able to draw inspiration from the decor and be creative."
The National Society was launched in 1811 to found a church school in every parish in England and Wales.
