Man arrested after Stonehouse resident finds suspected thief in his car

A MAN was arrested on suspicion of theft after a Stonehouse resident reported finding someone inside his vehicle early this morning, Wednesday, July 4.

police attended and carried out a search following the incident in Anderson Drive around 5.40am.

A 26-year-old man from Gloucester was arrested in Ebley Road on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle.

He currently remains in custody.

Officers recovered a number of sat navs they believe may have been stolen in the area.

Anyone who believes they were a victim of vehicle theft and has not yet reported it to police is asked to call 101, quoting incident 54 of July 4.
