police have issued an urgent appeal for information to help trace a youth wanted in connection with an attempted sexual assault in Coney Hill, Gloucester.

A 16-year-old girl was approached by the youth as she walked along a path in the park next to The Clock Tower flats at about 4pm on Wednesday, July 4 but managed to push him away and run off.

He is described as white, in his mid to late teens with spotty red skin and dark brown stubble. He was wearing a dark blue zip up jacket with white stripes on the sleeves, dark trousers, possibly elasticated at the bottom, and white trainers. It is believed he was riding a black or dark blue bicycle.

Officers are carrying out a number of inquiries in the area and the scene remains sealed off this evening while a forensic investigation takes place.

Anyone who has seen the youth this evening or have any information about this crime should call police immediately on 101 or 999 if required, quoting incident 376 of July 4.
