AN APPEAL against Stroud District Council’s decision to refuse a planning application to demolish Stonehouse Youth Centre and build eight homes plus parking and landscaping has been dismissed.
The planning inspector highlighted the importance of an open play area on the site, the need to retain the building for the community and dangers posed to road users.
The application by SWJP Developments was turned down by SDC in August last year.
