A man and woman have been charged following police raids on Cheltenham properties.
The raid of suspected brothels in flats in Pittville Lawn and Suffolk Road and of a property in Witcombe Place by police in Gloucestershire on September 12, and buildings in Dagenham, King’s Cross and Tottenham by the Metropolitan Police resulted in arrests.
Barry Stephen Champion, 33, and Ailing Champion, 41, both of Berkeley Road, Cheltenham, have been charged with conspiring to manage a brothel and will appear before magistrates today.
A 40-year-old man was arrested in London on suspicion of money laundering in connection with the case has been bailed to attend Cheltenham Police Station on November 5, pending further inquiries.
