police have located chemicals stolen from a business in Lydney, re-arrested a man held in custody and arrested a 14-year-old boy.
After a three day search, police believe that they have located the two 30 litre blue drums of acid and potassium cyanide stolen on the night of September 11-12 from a business in Whitecroft.
They have arrested an 18-year-old man under the Explosive Substances Act 1883 and a local 14-year-old boy under suspicion of burglary, who has been bailed to return to the police station of Sunday September 16.
Despite this, the public safety warning issued remains in place and anybody who comes across an unidentified item or substance should not touch it but move away and contact police.
Inspector for the area, Richard Boyles, said: “We appreciate the support we have received from local residents thus far and ask for their continued patience whilst our investigation continues.”
