police are searching for witnesses to an incident on the M5 on the night of September 13.

A blue Kawasaki motorbike and a grey Peugeot 207 collided whilst heading southbound on the motorway between junctions 13 and 14 at approximately 5:30pm.

The 28-year-old motorcycle rider was taken to Frenchay hospital from the scene and treated for back injuries, although these are not considered likely to be life threatening or life changing and the car driver was unhurt.

A 24-year-old man from Birmingham was reported for driving without due care and attention in connection with the incident.

Anyone who witnessed the crash but has not spoken to police should call 101, quoting incident 346 of September 13.
