Warning of heavy congestion after collision forces road closure

MOTORISTS travelling to Cheltenham are warned to expect delays after a serious collision in the town this afternoon, Monday, October 1.
A cyclist and a lorry collided in Sandford Mill Road around 3.30pm.
The cyclist, a man, is being treated by paramedics at the scene for possible life threatening injuries.
The A40 London Road has been closed between Old Bath Road and Holy Apostles and police are warning motorists of the considerable delays and congestion already caused.
A collision investigation is ongoing and police and other emergency services remain at the scene.
Anyone who witnessed the collision but has not spoken to police should call 101, quoting incident 264 of October 1.
