AN investigation is being carried out following a number of fires in Stonehouse during the early hours of this morning.
The first incident took place shortly before 1am, in Green Street, with blazes in two separate outbuildings in the garden of a house.
Later on in the morning - at around 6am - fires started in three separate garages in Festival Road, Stonehouse.
The Fire Service dealt with all of the fires, however some cars, garden machinery and other outdoor equipment were damaged during the incidents.
Officers are considering the possibility all of the fires may be linked, and they are all being treated as suspicious.
Anyone with information that could help the investigation is asked to ring police on 101 quoting incident number 20 of October 5.
