Burglar steals tools from garden shed to force his way into victim's home

A BURGLAR stole tools from a garden shed in Hardwicke before using them to break into the victim’s house.
The break-in happened in Pear Tree Close between 4pm on Friday, October 5 and 10.30am on Sunday, October 7.
An unknown offender entered the garden before stealing a large crow bar and hammer from the unlocked shed and forced his way into the resident’s home.
A Seiko men’s silver bracelet watch with black face, a Rotary ladies’ gold bracelet watch with blue face and an air rifle in a green nylon case were stolen taken from the property as well as £500 in cash, a money tin, a grey Nike sports bag, a wooden baseball bat, two 9carat gold rings and a cheque book.
Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity or with information about this burglary should contact police on 101, quoting incident 220 of Oct 7.
