STROUD businessman Dave Stallon has been given a top role at an organisation that represents small businesses.
Mr Stallon, 59, who runs his engineering business The Plastics and Engineering Company in Woodchester, has been re-elected as honorary national secretary of the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB).
His role is to promote the group's work and ensure the organisation has an effective structure so that small businesses are heard locally, regionally and nationally.
"I think this is a particularly exciting time for the FSB," he said.
"More people are looking to start their own businesses and it is our job to make sure their views are heard at the highest level so that small businesses can continue to play a significant role in the economy."
