THEY say breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
But too many of us skip out because of time pressures only to end up fighting the hunger pangs with unhealthy snacks.
Now preserves company Kitchen Garden Foods, based on the Salmon Springs trading estate near Stroud, has launched a range of porridge pots for busy people.
Wolfy’s porridge is a portable, tasty treat which is ready four minutes after adding boiling water.
It is made from whole oats and milk powder with added cane sugar or other natural flavourings to complete the taste.
Kitchen Garden Foods, which has been making jams, chutneys, marmalades and condiments in Stroud since 1989, has also added little pots of jams to the pots.
Founder Barbara Moinet said: "We worked out a clever way to put jam or honey in a small plastic pot that sits just under the lid, ready to tip into the porridge.
"It is an exciting year exciting year for Kitchen Garden Foods and we are excited about the challenges ahead."
Barbara started the business soon after she cooked up her first batch of blackberry and apple jam in her kitchen.
