EXOTIC teas and coffees from far-flung regions of the world were offered to customers at the Black Book Café as it celebrated its first birthday on Tuesday, September 17.

Decorated with balloons and banners, the café, which is situated in Nelson Street, Stroud, held a special party to mark the milestone one-year anniversary.

Throughout the festivities the café continued to provide its much-loved coffee-blend along with its popular plethora of delicious cakes and pastries.

Since opening last September, the business has gone from strength to strength and now opens its doors at the earlier time of 8.30am.

Throughout its first year the café, which hosts live music and story-telling events, has worked hard to develop its menu and now offers a variety of bagels, plenty of pies and a salad of the week.

It also caters for work as well as play though, with a free Wi-Fi connection and laptops available to hire.
