WINE lovers from around Stroud welcomed one of New Zealand’s greatest winemakers to town this month.
Independent wine store Bin Ends at the Bear in Rodborough Common invited senior winemaker Gordon Russell of Esk Valley wines to give a talk and tasting for customers.
Mr Russell is currently on a whistle-stop tour of the UK to give an insight into producing some of New Zealand’s finest wines.
Peter Hanna, co-owner of Bin Ends at the Bear, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Gordon to our store, it’s a real coup to get him to put on a tasting for us and our loyal customers.
Mr Russell said: “As a winemaker it’s so gratifying to see people getting genuinely excited about the wines you lovingly craft.”
