TWO Stroud companies have teamed up and found Another Way to deliver business networking.

Green energy company Ecotricity and Stonehouse-based Lister Communications have been working together for more than a year to provide local businesses with an innovative way of interacting with each other.

Taking advantage of Ecotricity founder Dale Vince’s other investment, Forest Green Rovers, anyone who takes part in the quarterly networking events are invited to the ground in Another Way, Nailsworth, to meet other businesses while enjoying the football.

Speaking at the most recent event on Tuesday, September 30, Ecotricity Ambassador Helen Taylor explained that the networking events were just a fun way of introducing people in local business to each other and also introducing them to the football team.

Simon Gardner from Lister Communications explained that the idea to combine FGR with the networking event was all about the location of the ground.

“We wanted to find another way to do networking and the football ground is in Another Way in Nailsworth so we just though it was a great fit,” he said.

“The thing with networking groups is that they take a while to establish but these are definitely working .”

Managing director of Quedgeley-based company SITM, Phil Batterick, has attended the network event five times and says it is the relaxed feel that keeps him coming back as well as the great mix of people.
