AN AWARD-WINNING retailer is opening a new store as part of the final phase of a £45 million redevelopment at Ebley Wharf in Stroud.
Vip Panchmatia and his wife and co-owner, Amy, are opening a Mace convenience store as part of the regeneration programme in the canal area. The couple have invested £145,000 in the new 2,000 sq ft store, which will employ six full- and part-time members of staff.
Vip has won a number of awards, most recently in the Asian Trader 2011 and Convenience Retail Awards 2011.
He said: “I have run an award-winning store at Andover for more than nine years.
“We plan to be a big part of the community and will be open seven days a week, selling bread baked in our in-store bakery, fresh local produce and meats, as well as chilled wines and beers.”
