STONEHOUSE-BASED tax expert Ian Townsend hosted a free business clinic in support of a national campaign to support small businesses.
Small Business Saturday events took place across the UK on Saturday, December 6, and aimed to encourage consumers to use local small businesses and traders.
Last year the campaign generated more than £460 million in sales on the day for small businesses across the country. The team at TaxAssist Accountants in Stonehouse high street gave support by running a free clinic between 1pm and 5pm on Thursday, December 4, at its offices.
Mr Townsend, who runs TaxAssist Accountants said: “We’re offering the local business community the chance to drop in and get some practical, useful, jargon-free advice to help guide them through any problems they may face.
“We’re delighted to be supporting Small Business Saturday and the local business community. We’ve been well supported by local businesses over the past two years, so it is great to be able to give something back.”
