Generations join for pub opening
THE oldest Sheepscombe resident helped to open the newly refurbished extension of The Butchers Arms this month.
Landlords Mark and Sharon Tallents invited 94-year-old Ken French to assist their daughter Emily Tallents, 14, in cutting the ribbon and officially opening the pub’s new extension.
“We have really enhanced our Cotswold Country Pub by converting the outside ‘privies’ into a modern dining and relaxing space,” said Mark.
“The work has taken just 12 weeks and we are all really pleased with the outcome.”
