STROUD-BASED engineering company Northsound Ltd is now CE compliant.

After a lengthy and costly accreditation the company, which is based in Slad Road, is now certified to BS EN1090 Execution Level 2.

In July this year it became a legal requirement that all fabricated structural steel components and fabrications work is CE Marked, which has had a significant affect on engineers, steelwork specialists and contractors.

A Northsound spokesman said: “It is a great achievement and we are one of the few companies in the area that have gone through the process.”
