Minchinhampton consultants secure international school contract

MINCHINHAMPTON-based architectural consultants Quadra has been appointed to continue the design and procurement of the construction of buildings for a new international school in South Gloucestershire. The multi-million pound project won planning permission in December 2008 following a lengthy negotiation by Quadra.

This was a major achievement as the 140-acre site comprises Grade II Listed Buildings, Scheduled Historic Gardens and is situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Since its initial appointment in 2006, the company has worked with the school on various projects, and Chris Stone, managing director of Quadra, is hoping to continue their relationship well into the future.

"This important project demonstrates our abilities in one of a number of key sectors where for the past 5 years, the team have helped clients across a wide range of projects and in a variety of ways.

"The international school is of particular importance as the work there means that investment from overseas will be obtained and local employment will be secured."

Quadra provide architectural and built environment consultancy to a host of organisations and businesses, ranging from the successful Bottelinos restaurant chain to county councils, schools and charities, such as The Highlands Cottage Charity in Amberley, Stroud.
